Board Meeting

Date: Tuesday, October 20, 1998

 

Location: Mo Christie's House

Directors Present: Howard Neu. Jay Stahl, Gretchen Farmer, Don Elbert, Mo Christie, and John Pickett

Directors Absent: Maria Donohue

The meeting was commenced by Howard Neu at approximately 7:40 P.M. The purpose of the meeting was to finalize the preparation of the absentee ballots for the election meeting to be held October 27, 1998, along with discussion of various pending open issues.

I. APPROVAL OF MINUTES

The Minutes of the September 22, 1998 meeting were approved.

2. LANDSCAPING

Mo was to contact Suso and get him to prepare an estimate as to what he expected the additional maintenance items would run. It was unanimously approved that Mo should give him the go-ahead to plant the impatiens in the Stirling Road/Hawkes Bluff Avenue median. Further, if the cost of planting impatiens under the oak trees was under $750.00, Suso would be authorized to do that additional planting.

3. PARCEL "A"

Gretchen would make an attempt, through the Secretary of State's office, to find out who the contact persons are for Parcel 'A' Homeowners Association.

4. PRESIDENT'S REPORT

A l-75 Landscaping. Howard will inquire of Jim Wolfe why the Griffin Road overpass has not been landscaped.

MISCELLANEOUS (Old Business, New Business, Open Forum Items)

A. Mo and Jay spoke briefly regarding the Parks Bond issue that would be voted upon at the upcoming election. Pamphlets were shown.

B. Mo advised that Maria Donahue did not want her name to be on the ballot for the upcoming election for board members.

C. Jay spoke about the Association website. It is:

D. Mo advised that the picnic would be held at the Gumbo Limbo pavilion, at Tree Tops Park, on November 15th.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at approximately 8:55 p.m.
