Board Meeting

Date: Tuesday, December 1, 1998

Location: Mike Murphy's Home

 

Directors Present: Howard Neu, Mo Christie, Gretchen Farmer, Don Elbert, John Pickett, and Michael Murphy

 

Director Absent: Jay Stahl

 

The meeting was commenced by Howard Neu at approximately 7:40 P.M.

 

1. APPROVAL OF MINUTES

The Minutes of the November 24, 1998 meeting were approved.

2. LANDSCAPING

Mike presented proposals received from Miele Brothers, Inc. regarding the anticipated landscaping improvements at the North end. The proposals were discussed and several changes were suggested. It was unanimously approved that Miele Brothers be authorized to proceed as soon as possible with the landscaping, at the total approximate sum of $ 470.00. Also, it was approved to purchase loads of dirt from Mike Burns, for both the landscaping at the North end and the trees on Dykes Road.

Mike would obtain bids concerning the trimming of the trees at the North end.

3 LIGHTING

Mike advised that Quarry Electric would install lighting at the Stirling Road entrance for approximately $1,500.00 to $2,000.00. They would pull the permits and proceed thereafter with the installation. The lights to be installed would cost approximately $100.00 each. A new panel would be installed to handle the increased lighting.

4. HOLIDAY DECORATIONS

The categories for the judging were agreed to (total of 6). The Board would do the judging prior to December 20th and give their votes to Howard for tabulation.

5.BUDGET

Prior to the next meeting (tentatively scheduled for December 15th), Don would prepare a preliminary budget.

6. NEWSLETTER

Mo advised that the newsletter should be going out the weekend of December 6th-7th.

7. ASSESSMENTS

Don reported that there were three outstanding assessments: 98 and '97 - Zeller (liened and in foreclosure); '98 - Young (liened and in foreclosure), and '97 De La Fuente (unanimously agreed to file foreclosure).
