I am a homeowner on Lancelot Court and just noticed an attempted burglary to
our home. Approximately a week or so ago I noticed a white male, 10-13 yrs
old, running out of my yard. When confronted, he advised me that he was
hiding from somebody. Today I noticed a baseball sized circular piece of
glass cut out of my family room window right on top of the window handle.
The screen had been taken off and put back in place. No entry was gained but
it was definitely an attempt. It appears as if they were going to come back
to make another hole on top of the other handle to gain entry. A report was
taken by the Davie Police Department. I encourage everyone to keep an eye
out for any child or person in your yard or neighbor's yard and call the
police. If there is another home found with this kind of damage it must be
documented.

I enjoy seeing my plants green and healthy. But, what can I do when I can only water them on a limited basis ? The answer comes from above ......... the skies, I mean. When I know it's going to rain, I get out my 5 gallon plastic buckets, and place them on the ground where the rain falls off my roof in the greatest amount (the valleys). In no time (with a good downpour), I've got 10 or 15 gallons of natural rainwater to freely water my plants whenever I choose. This is good of course for plants that do not get direct exposure to the rain, such as those by the front
entrance. Think of the amount of water that can be saved in this manner...... and still have GREEN plants.

I want to congratulate the board on a fabulous web site!!! You will be
noted as a role model for other associations as I meet and greet
throughout the Town. It is through active and concerned citizens as yourselves that we can better serve the residents and keep everyone informed. Thanks for your
hard work and diligence. Concerning I-75: I have sent a letter to the Sec. of Transportation supporting the efforts of Ivanhoe residents for a SOUND barrier wall.
Also, please note that the Town passed a resolution 2 meetings ago that relayed our DISPLEASURE and OPPOSITION to the proposed changes and interchanges for I-75 that will so adversely affect our community. I will forward a copy to you this week. Look for petitions that are being circulated that initiated from last night's Waverly HOA mtg. Special Thanks to the GREAT LADIES headed by Lily Aguiar who traveled to Tallahassee to confront Sec. Of Transportation Barry!!! Good job. Now
if he will just respond!!!!!

Thanks again for your support.
